It (board game)

Modern Conquest and War Games

It is a wargame published in 1978 by Attack International. Its scenario is unusual: a huge robot tank attacks an outpost that is defended by a force of smaller units, so the game is an asymmetric contest between one giant machine and many small defenders. The Wikipedia article records little else, and gives no designer, player count or rules detail. Its one cited reception is a blunt review by Andy Davis in The Space Gamer issue 35, who wrote that when he scrutinized it he considered burning it outright and that every gamer should stay far away from it. The entry therefore records a small 1970s wargame whose cited reception is that single harsh review.
