Ice War is a two-player board wargame published in 1978 by Metagaming Concepts as part of its MicroGame line of compact, ziplock-bagged wargames. The game hypothesizes a Eurasian military attack against American oilfields at Prudhoe Bay, Alaska, with one player commanding the invading Eurasian forces and the other directing the American defense. As with other entries in Metagaming's MicroGame series, the design packs a full hex-map conflict into an inexpensive, pocket-sized format aimed at introducing new players to Cold War era wargaming themes.
