Horus Heresy (2010 board game)

Modern Conquest and War Games

Horus Heresy is a two-player board game from 2010, designed by Jeff Tidball and John Goodenough with artwork by Daarken and Tim Arney-O'Neil, and published by Fantasy Flight Games with editions from Edge Entertainment, Heidelberger Spieleverlag and Stratelibri. It is set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, where one player leads the traitor Space Marine legions and the other leads the loyalists in a civil war fought across Terra. Combat and command are driven by cards, and the battle is fought across a map of Terra built from three-dimensional sculpted terrain. The game uses area movement, campaign and battle card play and hand management. A session is listed at about 135 minutes for players aged thirteen and over.
