Hong Kong Action Theatre! is a martial arts role-playing game published by Event Horizon Productions in 1996, with a revised edition from Guardians of Order in 2001. It is based on genre action movies produced in Hong Kong. Adventures fall into three categories, Gunplay, Martial Arts and Bizarre Fantasy, and are scripted like films, with characters taking the roles of actors in the movie. In the first edition a player creates a single actor whose attributes are Toughness, Brains, Speed, Cool and Chi, and buys skills before each adventure to suit the role. The gamemaster can award Star Points that players spend on script rewrites, and every character has a Signature Move. Combat is resolved by a roll of a twenty-sided die against a Difficulty Rating.
