Hitler's War is a strategic level board wargame simulating the European theater of the Second World War from the German invasion of the Soviet Union in Operation Barbarossa through to the fall of Berlin. It was first published by Metagaming Concepts in 1981 and later reissued by Avalon Hill in 1984, and is designed for two to three players. The game was well received on release, drawing praise in period reviews for being an incredible bang for the buck and for being, in the words of one review, the single most satisfying game of its type, with commentators repeatedly noting how thoroughly its systems were worked out for a relatively compact and approachable strategic-level design, especially compared with other wargames covering the same vast Eastern Front campaign.
