Great War at Sea: U.S. Navy Plan Orange

Modern Conquest and War Games

Great War at Sea: U.S. Navy Plan Orange is a board wargame designed by Michael Bennighof and published by Avalanche Press in 1998, part of the Great War at Sea series. It simulates a hypothetical naval conflict between the United States and Japan during the 1930s, drawing on actual U.S. Navy strategic planning of the period known as War Plan Orange, and is built for two players with a stated playing time of thirty minutes or more per scenario. The title won the Origins Award for Best Historical Board Game in 1998, recognition within the tabletop wargaming community for its historical grounding and design quality.
