Grav Armor

Wargame

Grav Armor is a science fiction tank combat board game designed by Arnold Hendrick and published by Heritage Models in 1982 as part of its Dwarfstar Games line of small boxed microgames. It is a two player wargame in which one side commands the forces of the Lerlam Empire and the other commands rebels of the Panumatic League. Combat uses a system built around Electronic Warfare, or EW, ratings rather than simple line of sight, so a unit's ability to detect and fire on an enemy depends on its EW rating and the range to the target rather than whether a clear line can be drawn between them. Players alternate moving individual units across the board, and an opponent may be able to fire on a moving unit during that movement if its EW rating and the range allow it. When an attack occurs it is resolved on a Combat Result Table that weighs the attacker's EW rating against the defending unit's defense value, the terrain the target occupies and a dice roll, producing a result ranging from a miss to a destroyed unit.
