Here I Stand is a board wargame first published by GMT Games in 2006, designed by Ed Beach with Matthew Beach and Dave Cross. Up to six players each control one of the great powers of 16th-century Europe, including the Holy Roman Empire, France, England, the Ottoman Empire, the Papacy, and the Protestant reformers, and pursue victory through a mix of military campaigns, religious conflict, exploration, and diplomacy during the Reformation era. Its card-driven system lets each turn's historical events shape the available actions, and the game is considered one of the more ambitious multiplayer wargames covering the period, prized for modeling the era's tangled religious and political rivalries in a single sitting.
