Galaxy Trucker is a science fiction board game for two to four players, developed by Vlaada Chvátil with graphics by Radim Pech. Its Czech edition came out in 2007 from Czech Games Edition, and a German edition from Heidelberger Spieleverlag appeared the same year. The premise has players working for a failing construction firm who assemble their own spaceships from prefabricated parts and fly them to the edge of the galaxy. Each round has a hurried building phase, played in real time against hourglasses, followed by a space voyage in which event cards bring meteor showers, pirates, slavers and cargo, and damage can strip away badly built ship sections. Later rounds use larger ships. A revised edition was released in 2021, and Chvátil also developed video versions in 2014 and 2015.
