FantasySCOTUS

FantasySCOTUS is an online fantasy league in which participants predict how each United States Supreme Court justice will rule on pending cases before the Court decides them. The platform was established by law professor Josh Blackman and was later acquired by the legal analytics company LexPredict, LLC. By 2014 the league had grown to more than 25,000 registered participants submitting predictions case by case. A companion high school version was developed to teach constitutional law and civic engagement to students by having them forecast rulings. FantasySCOTUS drew attention in 2015 for correctly forecasting two major decisions, the ruling affirming a nationwide right to same-sex marriage and the decision upholding the Affordable Care Act's subsidy structure.
