Evo (board game)
Board Game
Evo, published in full as Evo: The Last Gasp of the Dinosaurs, is a German-style strategy board game for three to five players designed by Philippe Keyaerts and originally published by Eurogames in 2001. Players guide competing lineages of dinosaurs through a changing prehistoric environment, evolving traits and expanding territory while an approaching ice age steadily threatens every species still on the board, so that a lineage which fails to adapt in time risks extinction. The design won the GAMES Magazine award for Game of the Year in 2002 and was nominated for an Origins Award for Best Graphic Presentation of a Board Game. It went out of print in 2007 before a revised second edition was released by a new publisher in 2011, restoring the game to circulation for a new generation of players.
