Elefun is a children's game first published by Hasbro in 1993, built around a plastic elephant-shaped unit with a roughly one-metre-long trunk that acts as a chute. A small motor inside the unit blows air through the trunk, launching light paper butterflies into the air above the players, who race against each other using long-handled nets to catch as many butterflies as they can before they fall to the ground. The game requires no reading or counting, relying instead on quick reflexes and hand-eye coordination, which has made it a durable preschool and early-childhood party staple for decades; it has been reissued periodically since its original release, including later editions from Hasbro and, more recently, Goliath Games.
