Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, formerly the Call of Cthulhu Collectible Card Game, is a two-player card game produced by Fantasy Flight Games from 2004 to 2015 and now out of print. It draws on Chaosium's Call of Cthulhu role-playing game, the writings of H. P. Lovecraft and other Cthulhu Mythos fiction, and is nominally set in 1928. Eric M. Lang designed it as an accessible way into Mythos gaming. It launched in 2004 as a collectible card game, and in 2008 moved to the Living Card Game format, which keeps deck building but removes random distribution. Players put resource cards under domains, drain them to play characters, events, support and conspiracy cards, and send characters to stories to win success tokens. Five tokens win a story and three stories win the game, while running out of cards to draw loses it.
