Battlesuit is a two player board wargame published by Steve Jackson Games in 1983, set in the same science fiction universe as the publisher's better known Ogre and G.E.V. games. Where those larger titles resolve battles between tanks, cybernetic super tanks and whole combined arms forces, Battlesuit narrows the focus to man to man fighting between individual infantry troops wearing powered armor and carrying weapons that fire micro nuclear warheads, a smaller and more personal scale of combat than its sibling titles cover. Reviewers described the game as effectively zooming in on one hex of the overrun combat that a single turn of G.E.V. would otherwise resolve abstractly, letting two players fight out that one clash of infantry in full tactical detail instead of a single die roll. Play centers on maneuver and positioning as much as firepower, with both sides feinting and probing across the board looking for a gap or a blind spot in the other side's formation before committing to an attack, since a well aimed micro nuke can end an engagement in a single exchange if it catches an opponent out of position.
