Aeronautica Imperialis

Modern Conquest and War Games

Aeronautica Imperialis is a tabletop wargame set in the dark future of the forty-first millennium, in which players command the aircraft of the Imperial Navy or of its many alien enemies. Board Game Matcher dates the game to 2007 and credits Warwick Kinrade as designer. The rules book teaches everything needed to play and also guides players through collecting and painting their own squadrons of Forge World miniatures. A game is built for two players, runs for about three hours, and uses dice rolling and movement on a hexagonal grid. Here the Imperium of Man battles for survival against hostile alien threats, and this game takes that struggle into the skies. A supplement named Tactica Aeronautica expands it.
