Advanced Third Reich is a board wargame designed by Bruce Harper and published in 1992 by The Avalon Hill Game Co. It is a rewrite of the earlier game Third Reich and simulates the European and African theaters of the Second World War. The game is designed at corps scale, and each turn represents three months of movement and fighting. It plays with one to six players, and the listed length of a full session is very long, about twenty hours, reflecting its scale as a grand strategic simulation. Its listed mechanics include dice rolling, grid movement and a hexagon grid map. In 2003 GMT Games published A World at War, a substantially revamped and streamlined version of Advanced Third Reich, also designed by Bruce Harper, which carried the design forward for a later generation of wargamers.
