Ace of Aces (picture book game)

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Ace of Aces is a two-player game that simulates a one-on-one dogfight between First World War aeroplanes. Each player holds a book of pictures showing what a pilot would see from the cockpit of his own plane. On each turn both players choose a manoeuvre at the same time and give their opponent a page number to turn to, so that the picture the opponent opens depends on the move chosen. The object is to get the opponent in your sights and shoot him down. The edition described by this source is the 1986 Handy Rotary deluxe edition published by Nova Game Designs.
