A Line in the Sand (board game)

Modern Conquest and War Games

A Line in the Sand is a board game published by TSR in 1991, designed by Paul Lidberg and Douglas Niles to depict the first United States war with Iraq, the 1991 Gulf War. Released while the conflict was still current events, the game simulates the buildup and combat of the war using a conventional modern-conflict wargame format. It proved commercially successful for TSR, reportedly earning the company about 500,000 dollars, and was later adapted into a computer game version released by Strategic Simulations in 1992.
