SuperEnalotto is a national lottery that has been played in Italy since 3 December 1997, run three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at 8:00 PM. Players select six numbers hoping to match the numbers drawn, and the game has built a reputation for producing some of the largest jackpots of any lottery in the world, funded by comparatively long odds. Because the odds of matching all six numbers are extremely long, even by lottery standards, jackpots frequently roll over for months before being won, drawing national attention each time a large prize is finally claimed.
