Liar's dice is a category of dice games for two or more players built around bluffing, in which each player rolls a set of dice hidden from the other players and then, in turn, makes and raises claims about the combined dice held by everyone at the table, with any player able to challenge the last claim as a bluff. Games of this general concealed-dice, escalating-bid type are documented in multiple regional traditions, including a well-known South American form called Dudo or Perudo, and the various regional versions share the same central bluffing mechanic while differing in their exact bidding and scoring rules.
