WPA World Nine-ball Championship

Team and Ball-Sport World Cups

The WPA World Nine-ball Championship is an annual professional nine-ball pool tournament that has been contested since 1990. It is sanctioned by the World Pool Association and principally sponsored and organized by Matchroom Sport, which promotes the event under the name World Pool Championship. The championship is not a single title contest: it has men's, women's, youth and wheelchair divisions, so several groups of players compete for world titles at the same event. Nine-ball is a pocket billiards game, and the event is run for professional players.
