Ousmane Coulibaly, born on 9 July 1989, is a former professional footballer who played as a defender. He was born in France but represented Mali at international level, and the Mali team took the bronze medal at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. In August 2014 he signed a three-year contract with the Greek Super League club Platanias, and after two strong seasons there he moved to Panathinaikos on 30 August 2016, signing for three seasons as backup to the Italian Giandomenico Mesto. Early in 2018 the Belgian club Mechelen made an offer for him as Panathinaikos struggled financially, and he asked to leave. On 8 January 2022 he suffered a heart attack during a Qatar Stars League match between Al-Rayyan and Al-Wakrah and was taken to hospital in stable condition. His brother Abdarhmane Coulibaly is a kickboxing world champion.
