Football Codes

Jonathan Lee Hogg, born on 6 December 1988 in Middlesbrough, is an English professional footballer and coach who played as a defensive midfielder and now works as a player-coach with the Huddersfield Town Academy. He began as a junior with his hometown club Middlesbrough before joining Aston Villa, where a cruciate ligament injury in 2007 interrupted his progress and he made his Premier League debut against Manchester United in November 2010. He spent loan periods at Darlington and Portsmouth, joined Watford in August 2011 and finished his first season fourth in the club's Player of the Season voting. His knockdown in the 2013 Championship play-off semi-final against Leicester City led to Troy Deeney's famous last-minute winning goal. He moved to Huddersfield Town in July 2013 on a three-year contract.
