Marco Cassetti, born on 29 May 1977 in Brescia, is an Italian former association footballer who played mainly as a defender, and above all as a right-back, although he began his career as a right midfielder and also appeared at centre-back. He came up through the lower divisions with Montichiari and Lumezzane, made his Serie A debut with Hellas Verona, and then spent three seasons as a regular at Lecce, where he became the first Lecce player ever capped by the Italy national team. In 2006 he joined Roma, staying until 2012 and winning two Coppa Italia titles and a Supercoppa Italiana. He later played in England for Watford and finished his playing days at Como, and in 2023 he served briefly as Como interim head coach. He won five caps for Italy between 2005 and 2008.
