David Eldar is an Australian professional Scrabble player born September 26, 1989, who grew up in Melbourne. He won the World Scrabble Championship in 2017, defeating Harshan Lamabadusuriya 3 to 0 in the final, and won it again in 2023 by defeating the same opponent 4 to 3, becoming only the second player after Nigel Richards to win multiple world titles. He also won the World Youth Scrabble Championship in 2006 and the Australian National Championship in 2007, 2013 and 2024, and competes as a professional Omaha hold'em poker player under the alias Deldar182.
