Robert Adriaan van der Horst is a Dutch former field hockey defender and midfielder, born October 17, 1984, in Eindhoven, Netherlands, who earned 272 caps for the Netherlands national team between 2004 and 2016, the seventh most of any Dutch player, scoring 14 goals. He won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics and served as captain when the Netherlands finished fourth at both the 2008 and 2016 Olympics. He now works as an assistant coach for the England men's national field hockey team.
