Harmanpreet Singh is an Indian field hockey defender and penalty corner specialist, born January 6, 1996, regarded as one of the best drag flickers in the world, who captains the Indian national team. He led India to bronze medals at both the 2020 Tokyo and 2024 Paris Olympics, captained the team to gold at the 2022 Asian Games, and has earned 270 international caps with 228 goals, the most international goals for India in the modern era. He won the FIH Player of the Year award three times and received the Khel Ratna Award in 2025, and is popularly known as Sarpanch Saab for his leadership.
