Luciana Aymar is an Argentine former field hockey player widely considered the greatest woman to play the sport. A midfielder for Argentina's national team, known as Las Leonas, she was named World Player of the Year by the International Hockey Federation a record eight times across the 2000s and 2010s and won Olympic and world championship medals with the national side.
