Tony Ma

Tony Ma (born Hieu Ngoc Ma, around 1957 in Vietnam) is an American professional poker player of ethnic Hoa background. He moved to Southern California in 1985 and became a regular fixture on the poker circuit. At the 1996 World Series of Poker he collected a bracelet and $236,000 by winning the $5,000 limit hold'em event, and he won a second bracelet in 2000 in the $2,000 limit hold'em event. In 1999 he won the Card Player Player of the Year Award, and he made the final table of the Pro-Celebrity Invitational Tournament in the first season of the World Poker Tour, finishing fifth. As of 2009 his total live tournament winnings exceeded $4,100,000, of which his 22 World Series of Poker cashes account for $1,157,987.
