Mike Sexton (1947 to 2020) was an American professional poker player and commentator, inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2009. A gymnast at Ohio State University, he served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, took up poker in 1977 and moved to Nevada in 1985 to play full time. He won a World Series of Poker bracelet in the 1989 seven-card stud split event, won the 2006 Tournament of Champions and its million dollar prize, and won the World Poker Tour Montreal Main Event in 2016. He was lead commentator on World Poker Tour telecasts for the program's first fifteen seasons, alongside Vince Van Patten.
