Isaac Haxton

Isaac Haxton, born on 6 September 1985, is an American professional poker player who is also an amateur chess player and a youth chess champion. He grew up in Syracuse, New York, where his father introduced him to games of skill early; he played chess at four and Magic: The Gathering by ten, and he finished a degree in philosophy at Brown University. He moved from competitive Magic to poker at eighteen, and in 2007 he finished runner-up to Ryan Daut at the WPT Championship Event for 861,789 dollars. He won Super High Roller Bowl V in December 2018 for 3,672,000 dollars and his first World Series of Poker bracelet in June 2023. In 2023 he had the most live tournament earnings of any poker player, and by May 2024 he had cashed for more than 48 million dollars.
