Dan Smith is an American professional poker player, born on 23 February 1989 in Manalapan Township, New Jersey, who now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada. He began playing online poker at sixteen and is a former chess player who entered college on a chess scholarship before stopping his studies in 2007 to play poker full time. His first cash and victory came in 2008 at the Heartland Poker Tour Main Event at Turning Stone Resort and Casino for 101,960 dollars. His titles include a World Poker Tour title, a World Series of Poker bracelet and an Aussie Millions championship event, and in June 2014 he won the Bellagio Super High Roller for 2,044,766 dollars. He has won over 55,000,000 dollars in live tournaments.
