William E. Baxter Jr., known as Billy Baxter, is an American professional poker player and sports bettor, born on September 21, 1940. Over his career as a professional poker player he has won numerous tournament titles, including seven World Series of Poker bracelets, which places him among the most decorated bracelet winners in the history of the event. He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 2006. His record combines success in tournament poker with a parallel career as a sports bettor, and the length of time between his first titles and his Hall of Fame recognition reflects a long presence at the top level of the game.
