Amarillo Slim, born Thomas Austin Preston Jr., was an American poker player who lived from 1928 to 2012, born in Johnson, Arkansas, who won the World Series of Poker Main Event in 1972 and took four WSOP bracelets in total, including two in Omaha hold'em, with a final tournament win in 1990. He was inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame in 1992, was known equally for his proposition bets as for his poker play, and helped introduce Texas hold'em to Las Vegas alongside other traveling professional gamblers in the 1960s.
