Johann Olav Koss is a retired Norwegian speed skater born October 29, 1968, in Drammen. He won four Olympic gold medals and one silver across the 1992 Albertville and 1994 Lillehammer Games, winning all three of his individual events at the 1994 Lillehammer Games on home ice and setting new world records in each. He set ten world records over his career, won the World Allround Championship three times in 1990, 1991 and 1994, and after retiring in 1994 founded Right To Play, an international organization that uses sport for child development in disadvantaged regions.
