Wu Dajing is a Chinese short track speed skater, born July 24, 1994, in Jiamusi, Heilongjiang. He became the first Chinese man to win an Olympic short track gold medal, winning the 500 metres at the 2018 Pyeongchang Games while setting an Olympic record in the heat and world records in the quarterfinal and final, marks he still holds. He also won gold in the 2000 metre mixed relay at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, and has said he was inspired to take up the sport after watching fellow Chinese skaters Li Jiajun and Yang Yang.
