Track and Field Athletics

The track, field and combined events of athletics, governed internationally by World Athletics: sprints, middle and long distance races, hurdles, relays, jumps, throws and multi-event competitions. What belongs here is the umbrella sport of athletics as practised in a stadium. Every sport filed in this group belongs to the Track and Field Disciplines category and has its own entry in the Sport and Games Atlas, from which a reader can follow links on to its leading athletes, its competitions and the governing bodies that set its rules.
