All Equestrian Sports

Sports in which a rider and a horse work as a team, whether against the clock, against a panel of judges or against other horses over a course. The family covers the dressage, jumping and eventing disciplines governed internationally by the FEI, the racing of horses under saddle on the flat and over fences, and the mounted team ball game of polo. What belongs here is a sport whose defining feature is the horse as a partner or mount; sports that merely involve animals in other ways, and horse-related organisations, sit elsewhere in the atlas.
