Toon (role-playing game)

Role-Playing Games

Toon is a comedy tabletop role-playing game in which the players take the roles of cartoon characters, and it carries the subtitle The Cartoon Roleplaying Game. Greg Costikyan designed it and Warren Spector developed it, and Steve Jackson Games first published it in 1984. In December 2025 the publisher announced that a second edition was in development. The lead of the source article is short, so this entry records only the premise, the credited designer and developer, the publisher, the 1984 first publication and the announced second edition.
