The World Bridge Federation (WBF) is the international governing body for organized competitive bridge, formed on 18 August 1958 in Oslo, Norway, by delegates from Europe, the United States and South America. It organizes world championship competitions on a four year cycle, including the Bermuda Bowl, and was recognized as an International Sport Federation by the International Olympic Committee in 1999.
