United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC)

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) is the National Olympic Committee and National Paralympic Committee for the United States, tracing its origins to the American Olympic Committee formed in 1894 and reorganized under its current dual Olympic-Paralympic mandate in 2019, headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. It coordinates and funds the US National Governing Bodies for individual Olympic and Paralympic sports, selects and fields the American teams for the Summer and Winter Games, and derives most of its budget from private sponsorship and broadcast revenue sharing rather than direct government funding, a financing model distinct from most other nations' Olympic committees.
