The Comitato Olimpico Nazionale Italiano (CONI), the Italian National Olympic Committee, is Italy's National Olympic Committee and the umbrella governing authority for Olympic sport in the country, founded in 1914 and headquartered in Rome. It coordinated Italy's hosting of the 1960 Rome Summer Olympics and the 1956 Cortina d'Ampezzo, 2006 Turin and 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics, and has historically also exercised broad regulatory authority over Italian sport beyond Olympic representation alone.
