Jeffery Michael Gordon is an American former stock car racing driver born August 4, 1971, in Vallejo, California, who raced full time in NASCAR's premier series from 1993 to 2015, primarily driving the number 24 Chevrolet for Hendrick Motorsports. He won four NASCAR Cup Series championships, in 1995, 1997, 1998 and 2001, finished his career with 93 Cup Series wins, third on the all time list, and won the Daytona 500 three times, in 1997, 1999 and 2005. He set the modern era record for wins in a single season with 13 in 1998, holds 81 career pole positions, and was inducted into the NASCAR Hall of Fame in 2019; he now serves as vice chairman of Hendrick Motorsports.
