Tommi Makinen is a Finnish former rally driver and racing executive born June 26, 1964, near Jyvaskyla, who won four consecutive World Rally Championship drivers titles from 1996 through 1999, all of them driving for Mitsubishi's Ralliart team. He ranks among the most successful drivers in the history of the World Rally Championship, and after retiring from competitive driving he moved into team management, later leading Toyota's factory World Rally Championship program.
