Anthony Joseph Foyt Jr. is an American former racing driver born January 16, 1935, in Houston, Texas, who competed across open wheel racing, sprint cars, midget cars, stock cars and NASCAR. He became the first four time winner of the Indianapolis 500 and is the only driver to have won the Indianapolis 500, the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Daytona 500 and the 24 Hours of Daytona. He holds the record for the most American national championship titles with seven, and accumulated 159 USAC career wins including 67 Indy car victories, before founding and operating A.J. Foyt Enterprises to field teams in CART, IndyCar and NASCAR.
