Motorsport Championships

Season-long world championships in motorsport, in which drivers and constructors score points over a calendar of races under the rules of an international governing body, such as the Formula One World Championship and the World Rally Championship, both sanctioned by the FIA. Belongs here: titles decided by points across a series of races or rallies on circuits, roads or stages. Does not belong here: cycling stage races such as the Grand Tours, which stay under Grand Tour Stage Races, and one-off events that are not a championship series.
