Thunderstone is a fantasy deck-building card game series designed by Mike Elliott with artwork by Jason Engle, first published by Alderac Entertainment Group in 2009. One to five players recruit heroes and purchase equipment and spells from a shared marketplace of cards, then send their strengthening party into a dungeon to battle monsters drawn from a shared monster deck, building an individual deck of cards over the course of play in the deck-building genre. Standard-sized cards measuring roughly 6.3 by 8.8 centimetres carried the game's dungeon-crawl fantasy theme through numerous expansions and a later standalone sequel, and the series was translated into several languages during its run of releases.
