Eldritch Horror

Eldritch Horror is a cooperative tabletop strategy board game published by Fantasy Flight Games in 2013, set within the Cthulhu Mythos created by H. P. Lovecraft. Between one and eight players, aged fourteen and up, work together as investigators trying to stop an Ancient One from waking and destroying the world, traveling to locations around the globe to gather clues, battle monsters, solve mysteries and collect useful equipment before time runs out. Each round of play unfolds across three phases: an action phase in which investigators take their own turns, an encounter phase in which players draw cards and interact with the wider world, and a mythos phase in which the game itself advances the Ancient One's opposing plans. The game builds on the cooperative, globe-spanning structure of Fantasy Flight's earlier Arkham Horror line while introducing its own mechanics, and it went on to receive multiple expansions released between 2014 and 2018, reflecting sustained commercial and player interest in its cooperative horror format within the modern hobby board game space.
