Heroes of Might and Magic IV (card game)

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Heroes of Might & Magic IV Collectible Card and Tile Game is a 2005 collectible card and tile game created by DG Associates and designed by Jonathan Bjork, licensed from the Heroes of Might and Magic video game franchise. The game combines collectible trading cards, representing creatures, spells, artifacts, towns, heroes and locations from the video game series, with hexagonal map tiles that are assembled at random to build the battlefield each time it is played. Up to six players can take part, moving hero pieces across the tile map while using their card collections to summon creatures, cast spells and build up towns in a tabletop adaptation of the turn based strategy that made the video game series popular. As a licensed tie in product, it let fans of the Heroes of Might and Magic computer games carry the setting and its creature roster to the tabletop in a physical card and tile format.
