Flash Point: Fire Rescue

Modern Hobby Strategy Games

Flash Point: Fire Rescue is a cooperative board game designed by Kevin Lanzing with input from working firefighters and first released in November 2011. Between one and six players take on the roles of fire and rescue crew members who must work together, rather than against each other, to pull trapped people and pets from a burning building before flames spread out of control and the structure collapses around them. A typical game runs about forty-five minutes and blends dice-driven fire spread, movement and rescue actions with shared decision-making under mounting time pressure. Its cooperative, scenario-based structure proved popular enough to support several expansions after the base game's release, adding new settings such as a high-rise building, a two-story house fire and a submarine, each introducing its own hazards and rescue objectives for the team to manage together.
